Artist talk with Laurence Salzmann and Keith McManus

A lively discussion well attended by friends, colleagues, and artists. Each photographer, Laurence Salzmann and Keith McManus, presented their work, Volver and Aura of Nostalgia respectively, to the group and discussed the creation process, the importance of returning to propel documentary work forward, and the role aesthetics vs truths hold in their photographic practices. Jason Francisco guided the discussion, both with his own probing artistic queries and questions from the crowd. All told it was a festive evening of spirited discussion and community building.
